Pakistan International School is one of the most prestigious and renowned educational institutions in the Gulf. It is housed in a grand spacious double storey building on 75.000 Sq. meters of land at Abu Hamour in Doha, Qatar. The land was graciously donated by the Emir of the State of Qatar, where as, the finance for the construction of the building was raised entirely through donations. Lt. Gen. (R) Muhammad Jahan Zeb Arbab, the former ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan to the State of Qatar (1980-86) played a major role in collecting donations through various sources. The new building was inaugurated by the late President of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan General Muhammad Zia-Ul-Haq under the name of Pakistan School on 6th November, 1985.
